Fine Art Photographer
Photography is the medium through which I can express my emotions when admiring nature. I experience this desire for photography in all that is natural, when I say that I wish to do something well. I consider that technique should help convey an idea, a sensation or a message, and not be the center of a piece. Having worked in traditional dark rooms for many years, I apply the same concepts when using the giclee method of printing, bearing in mind the many advantages of durability and quality.
I was born in Uruguay, in 1980, but grew up in the Sierras of Córdoba between the paintbrushes of my grandfather and the palette knives of my father. Seduced by the landscapes of Patagonia, I dedicated myself at an early age to interpreting life through a photographic medium. For more than a decade, I worked as a freelance photographer, my work appearing in publications in Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil. I published the photography book Salta, Norte Argentino, and worked on contract as the exclusive photographer for National Geographic Traveler’s Argentina guidebook.
After marrying Violeta, I grew tired of the relentless travel and the hectic world of publishing. So, in 2008, I chose a new direction: Fine Art Photography. I have participated in over 30 exhibitions including the Palais de Glace, the Recoleta Cultural Center, the Borges Cultural Center, and Arte Espacio in Buenos Aires; in Uruguay: Arte Punta and Mason Murer; and in the United States in showings in Atlanta and the Art Expo in New York.
