This past August 18th, 2023 Paihuen offered a delightful live painting event with Guido Franco Ferrari at their restaurant Caleuche.
Delicious finger food by Chef Raúl Rolón was accompanied by Catena Zapata wines and live music by local piano player Tomás Stancatti.
Guido paints oils with pallet knives, which allows him to complete a medium sized painting in around an hour. This allowed the more than 90 people that attended the event to see the whole process of an oil painting being done from beginning to end. “Florecer Argentino”, the name of the work he painted during the event, depicts Lago Argentino with chunks of ice floating off the glacier. A beautiful depiction of Patagonia.
